What HAP chooses is Microsoft's online preview service solution.

The preview failure is, simply put, a flaw in Microsoft's online preview solution. The online preview function of the browser is necessarily not as rich and powerful as the locally installed Office. There may be unsupported problems for files with complex formats and formulas, etc.

If a file cannot be previewed, but other files can be previewed, it is not a service problem. However, since this service is well packaged by Microsoft, no adjustment can be made.

At present, Microsoft's solution seems to be the best solution in terms of recognition rate, success rate and conversion efficiency.

In addition to Microsoft, Google also has a strong component to integrate, but unfortunately it is not available in China.

When your preview fails, you can try the following methods, but they are not guaranteed to work:

  • It is recommended to save as a separate version and upload a new version.

  • If it is an Excel or Word document, try to remove the formulas in it and keep only the values if you can, because some formulas may also cause the preview to fail.

  • It is recommended that you do not check [online preview only]. Users can download and view the file when they can't preview.
