Billing for External Users

Both the free and paid editions support 100 free external users, if more than 100, you need to purchase the expansion package.

There are no Expand and Renew buttons in the free and trial Editions. You must purchase a licensed edition before you can expand the number of external users.

Billing Objects​

  • Users signed up through the link of external portal.
  • Pending and unactivated users are not billed.
  • If a user signs up to join two applications, it is counted as two.

Billing Rule (SaaS)​

The number of users to be purchased must be a multiple of 100, that is, at least 100 users at a time.

Actual Payment = Days Remaining in License * (Annual Fee/365) * (Number of Users Purchased/User Package Base)

Example 1: You purchased a one-year system license of HAP, and after using it for 100 days, you need to expand 100 external users.

  • Actual payment: (265) * (500/365) * (100/100) = ￥363.01

Example 2: You purchased a one-year system license of HAP, and after using it for 100 days, you need to expand 300 external users.

  • Payment required: (265) * (500/365) * (300/100) = ￥1089.04. In this case it would be more cost-effective to purchase the 1000-user package.

  • Actual payment: (265) * (1000/365) * (1000/1000) = ￥726.03

1. Free Edition/Trial Edition​

  • If the number of external users does not exceed 100, it works normally. If it exceeds 100, newly signed up users will have a status of Pending or Inactivated depending on the configuration and be alerted.

  • You cannot expand external users, and need to purchase a licensed edition first.

2. Paid Edition​

For example, you purchased a three-year license, which expires in one year, and renewed it for another three years.

  • In this case, if you expand external users, it expires in 1 year.
  • If you renew external users, it expires in 4 years.
