What is an application?

[Application] refers to the business system built in HAP. The way to create a complete and feature-rich application lie in the combination of seven functional modules, which are Worksheet, View, Role and Permission, Chart, Workflow, Custom Page and External Portal.

7 Functional Modules

Ⅰ. Worksheet

Worksheets serve to collect, store, and manage your business data. 36 data controls can help you create worksheets for diverse data management, and different worksheets can be associated with one another. Once a worksheet has been created, the basic functions of data entry, query, searching, sorting, and filtering will be immediately available. You can also read and write data to worksheets via Excel, API and Workflow, while external personnel can import data directly via QR code and keep the data visible and accessible to public.

Ⅱ. View

The view serves for target data presentation. Here will only display the filtered data according to different business scenarios or roles. In a worksheet, there can be several forms of views, including Grid, Board, Calendar, Gallery, Org Chart and Gantt Chart. By filtering the data and roles, you can choose to present different content in various forms. For example, set one view for all orders while another for unpaid orders.

Ⅲ. Role and Permission

In HAP, each member can bear different permissions. Specifically, you can configure which worksheets are visible to a given role, which fields are hidden from them, which fields can only be viewed and not modified, etc.

Ⅳ. Chart

Charts will contribute to gain insights into your business. For example, you can set up a chart to follow the change in order value over the past 14 days, or choose a pie chart to show the comparative distribution of order types.

Ⅴ. Workflow

Workflow is the process engine of HAP, which adopts the minimalist IFTTT logic (if this, then that) to help process control and automation within the enterprise. For example, once the order takes effect, an invoice will be issued automatically; if the purchase is over 5000 yuan, it needs to be approved by two supervisors; when the receipt date of the purchase order is approaching, the warehouse will be notified, etc.

As long as there is a regular process, workflow will help you to operate automatically. With the help of 20 automated operating processes provided in HAP, repetitive manual operations can be avoided!

Ⅵ. Custom Page

Besides views and charts, another option for data display is to create a custom page in which different types of components can be visually configured. What is common for enterprises is to manage the dashboard through charts.

Ⅶ. External Portal

For enterprise operation, business like supplier management, bidding management, exhibition registration management, etc. not only need cooperation between internal members, but require collaboration with external users in the business chain. In these cases, you can choose the external portal, opening specific functions to the external for registration. In this way, a collaboration mode of connecting the internal and external, the upstream and downstream will be realized.
